AN ACT concerning
Washington County Sanitary Commission -
Appeals to Public Service Commission
FOR the purpose of providing procedures for hearings when
the Washington County Sanitary Commission alters
existing rates, charges, levies, or assessments;
providing for an appeal to the Public Service
Commission following Sanitary Commission hearing; and
clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows;
Article 22 - Washington County
28-23A.
(A) WHENEVER THE WASHINGTON COUNTY SANITARY COMMISSION
DETERMINES THAT A MODIFICATION OF AN EXISTING RATE, CHARGE,
LEVY, OR ASSESSMENT PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED BY THE COMMISSION
IS NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE, THE COMMISSION SHALL:
(1) GIVE NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED MODIFICATION IN
AT LEAST ONE NEWSPAPER CIRCULATED IN WASHINGTON COUNTY; AND
