Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland
(Composition of Council)

FOR the purpose of specifying that the membership of the
Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland be composed of
a certain number of voting officials; removing certain
references to membership and the form of government of
Council member counties; and generally relating to
membership on the Tri-County Council of Southern
Maryland.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 20 - Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland

Section 2-101(b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 20 - Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland

2-101.

The membership of the Council consists of:

(b) [(1)] Three VOTING county commissioners from each
[noncharter county; or

(2) Three members from each charter county
appointed by the executive of that county with the advice
and consent of the county council] COUNTY APPOINTED BY THEIR
RESPECTIVE BOARDS;

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
