COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

Bill No. 6

AN ACT adopting a codification of the County Charter
and" the Charters of the various municipalities within the
county and a codification and revision of the public local
laws, acts, ordinances and certain resolutions of Wicomico
County, State of Maryland, providing for the maintenance of
said Code; repealing and saving from repeal certain public
local laws, acts, ordinances and resolutions not included
therein; establishing a penalty for altering or tampering
with the Code; and making certain minor substantive changes
in previously adopted public local laws, acts, ordinances
and resolutions,

WHEREAS, The County Council has had its Charter and the
Charters of the various municipalities within the county
codified without substantive revision except in the
numbering of the municipal Charters, and

WHEREAS, the County Council has also had its public
local laws, acts, ordinances and resolutions codified and
revised in certain minor substantive respects, and

WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable by County Council to
adopt and enact this codification of the Charters and other
legislation to be known as the "Charter and Code of Wicomico
County 1978".

Bill No. 7

AN ACT to amend Chapter 225 of the Wicomico County
Code, titled "Zoning", by repealing and reenacting with
amendments, a portion of Section 225-3, Subsection B, titled
"Definitions and Word Osage", Subtitled "Wayside Stand", to
add a provision excluding certain farmers from the operation
of the Wayside Stand requirements.

WHEREAS, the County Council of Wicomico County hereby
finds, an emergency measure amending the Zoning Chapter of
the Wicomico County Code, to provide an exemption from the
requirements of the Wayside Stand provision for certain
farmers is required in order to alleviate a threat to the
health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Wicomico
County.
