A BILL ENTITLED
AN ACT concerning
Prince George's County Parking Authority
FOR the purpose of establishing, pursuant to State law:
(1) a County Parking Authority and its organization, powers,
and functions; and (2) authorizing the establishment of
Parking Districts as special taxing areas, and including the
levy and collection of special taxes in the nature of ad
valorem taxes within such Districts.

A BILL ENTITLED
AN ACT concerning
Smoking Regulations and Restrictions
FOR the purpose of: (1) to regulate smoking or
carrying of a lighted cigar, cigarette, cigarillo, or pipe,
or lighting a cigar, cigarette, cigarillo, or pipe in
certain designated places; (2) to provide certain exceptions
to the foregoing regulations; (3) to provide for the
designation of certain smoking areas; (4) to require the
posting of signs prohibiting smoking; (5) to make it
unlawful for one in control of a no—smoking area to refuse
to request cessation of smoking in that area, when asked by
another person to do so; (6) to provide for election by
retail establishments and other facilities not expressly
covered by this Act to apply for coverage and regulation
hereunder; (7) to provide for the County Executive to adopt
rules and regulations for the implementation of this Act;
and (8) to provide for penalties and enforcement of this
Act.
