RESOLUTION OF ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, on August 7, 1978, Taneytown Associates, a
Maryland Limited Partnership, presented a Petition to the
Mayor and Council of the City of Taneytown, Carroll County,
State of Maryland, to enlarge the corporate boundaries of
said Town by the annexation of a certain hereinafter
described parcel of land contiguous to and adjoining the
existing corporate boundaries of said City; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council, pursuant to Article
23A, subsection 19(c) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957), have caused to be made a verification of the
signatures upon said Petition and ascertained that the
persons signing the Petition represent the owners of at
least twenty—five percent (25%) of the assessed valuation of
the real property located in the area to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have ascertained that no
persons residing in the area sought to be annexed are
registered as voters in county elections in the precinct or
precincts in which the territory to be annexed is located.

Carroll County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION NO. 1-78
Resolution of the Town of University Park, Maryland
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI—E of the
Constitution of Maryland and §§ 12 and 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (Subtitle "Home Rule") to
amend the certain provision of the Charter of the Town of
University Park said Charter being Chapter 81 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland by:
Repealing and reenacting §81.10(d) to provide that a
registered voter may apply for an absentee ballot not less
than five (5) days before the date of election.
[Section 81.10(d) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, as found in the 1963 Edition and
1967 Supplement repealed and reenacted, with amendments.
Effective Date March 4, 1978]
