A RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Sykesville adopted pursuant to the authority of Section 3
(Home Rule) of Article XI-E (Municipal Corporations) of the
Constitution of Maryland and of Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, titled "Corporations —
Municipal", subtitle "Home Rule" to amend the Charter of the
Town of Sykesville (being Sections 18-1 and 18-98 inclusive
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll County (1976
Edition) and being Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, by repealing and re—enacting, with
amendments. Section 18—25 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Carroll County (1976 Edition), to change said Section of
the Charter of The Town of Sykesville by changing the
residency qualification for Voters from one (1) year to six
(6) months, and to add additional qualifications for Voters,
the matter hereinafter enclosed in brackets indicating
matter deleted from the existing Section of the Charter and
the matter hereinafter in CAPITALS indicating new matter
changing the existing Section of the Charter.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION

Resolution of the Council of the City of Taneytown,
Maryland adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI E
of the Constitution of Maryland, and Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 edition as amended, to
repeal the existing charter as amended, of Taneytown and
enact a new charter to be used henceforth by the City of
Taneytown.

[Title 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll
County, repealed and added.

Effective Date March 14, 1978]
