adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI—E of the
Constitution of Maryland, Section 13 of Article 23a of the
Annotated Code of Maryland and the Charter of the City of
Rockville, as amended, to amend generally and to restate all
of the provisions of the Charter of the City of Rockville,
the same being contained in Chapter 72 of the Montgomery
County Code 1972, and in particular to delete the
description of the City's boundaries and to provide that the
boundaries shall be as they existed immediately prior to the
effective date of this amendment, and as they shall
hereafter be amended as provided by law; to provide that a
description of the City's boundaries shall be maintained on
file with the City Clerk; to make uniform several provisions
dealing with criminal penalties; to delete exclusive use of
the masculine gender; to eliminate typographical and
grammatical errors; to eliminate obsolete and inappropriate
language; to make uniform the Article, section and
subsection designation system; to change the designation of
certain Articles, sections and subsections; to add new
Article, section and subsection designations where
appropriate; to change references in the text of certain
sections so as to make them accurate; and to delete the
requirements that employee salary schedules and benefit
programs be provided for by ordinance.

[Section 72-1 to 72-95 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Montgomery County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.

CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 35

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Rockville
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI—E of the
Constitution of Maryland, Section 13 of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland and the Charter of the City of
Rockville, as amended, to amend the Charter of the City of
Rockville by repealing Subsection f. of Section 1. of
Article XI thereof, the same being contained in Section
72—68 (f) of the Montgomery County Code, 1972, so as to
delete the provisions concerning the special assessment of
corner lots and of irregularly shaped lots, and to reletter
the subsequent subsections of said Section 1.

[Section 72-68(f) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County, added and renumbering Sections 72—68(g)
through (i) to be (f) through (h).
