Section 15CE

Annotated Code of Maryland
(1978 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and
Administrative Departments

15CE.

(a)   Within ten days following the receipt of each
executive order issued AND SIGNED by the Governor under the
provisions of § 15CC (a), the Secretary of State shall
deliver [a copy] TWO COPIES of it THE EXECUTIVE ORDER to the
Director of the State Department of Legislative Reference.
THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE
SHALL DELIVER ONE COPY OF THE EXECUTIVE ORDER TO THE
PUBLISHER OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC GENERAL LAWS.

(b)   Each delivered executive order [that affects a
statute] shall be published with the session laws of the
General Assembly for that year, pursuant to § 82 of this
article.

(c)   (1) Each delivered executive order [that
affects a statute also] shall be published with the Code of
Public General Laws, in a separate portion or volume of the
Code, in the same manner as the Maryland Rules are
published, so long as it remains unrevoked.[, except that]
HOWEVER, an executive order issued pursuant to § 15B of this
article need not be so published, and an executive order
issued in statutory form pursuant to Article II of the
Constitution shall be codified in the same manner as
statutes enacted by the General Assembly.

(2) To the extent feasible, each executive order
published in the Code shall be classified and arranged
according to the article of the Code to which the order
pertains.

(D) THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF    LEGISLATIVE

REFERENCE SHALL PROVIDE A PROCESS FOR THE    REMOVAL OF

EXECUTIVE ORDERS FROM THE CODE UPON THE THEIR    RESCISSION,
REVOCATION, OR EXPIRATION OF THE ORDER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
