aforesaid, 344,165 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 172,337 votes were cast; and
For the adoption of Chapter 971, (Question No. 6) as
aforesaid, 296,746 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 238,617 votes were cast; and
For the adoption of Chapter 972, (Question No. 7) as
aforesaid, 200,220 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 242,156 votes were cast; and
For the adoption of Chapter 973, (Question No. 8) as
aforesaid, 246,098 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 278,063 votes were cast; and
For the adoption of Chapter 974, (Question No. 9) as
aforesaid, 326,760 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 200,103 votes were cast; and
For the adoption of Chapter 975, (Question No. 10) as
aforesaid, 367,378 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 151,728 votes were cast; and
For the adoption of Chapter 976, (Question No. 11) as
aforesaid, 339,758 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 216,013 votes were cast; and
For the adoption of Chapter 977, (Question No. 12) as
aforesaid, 210,480 votes were cast, and against the
adoption thereof, 210,645 votes were cast; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BLAIR LEE, ACTING GOVERNOR OF MARYLAND,
in pursuance of the authority and direction contained
in Section 1 of Article XIV of the Constitution of
Maryland, do, by this, my Proclamation, hereby declare
and proclaim that the greatest number of votes having
been cast in favor of Chapters 679, 680, 681, 682, and
683 of the Acts of 1977 and Chapters 971, 974, 975 and
976 of the Acts of 1978, and each of them the same as
specifically set forth in said Acts, have been and are
duly ratified by the legal and qualified voters of the
State, and henceforth they, and each of them shall
become parts of the Constitution of the State of
Maryland, as in said Acts specifically set forth, and
in further pursuance of the authority and direction
contained in Section 1 of Article XIV of the
