SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Frederick County - Metropolitan Commission

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of County
Commissioners of Frederick County to succeed and
exercise all of the powers of the former Frederick
County Metropolitan Commission; to construct, operate,
and maintain sewer, water, and drainage systems in
Frederick County, and to issue bonds and other
evidences of indebtedness for the same; to allow a tax
on real property for sewer, water, and drainage systems
in Frederick County; to ratify all actions taken by the
Board of County Commissioners concerning Frederick
County since the abolition of the Frederick County
Metropolitan Commission; and making this Act an
emergency measure.

BY repealing

The Public Local Laws of Frederick County
Section 10A-1, 10A-2, 10A-13, 10A-14, and 10A-25
Article 11 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1959 Edition, as amended by Chapter 113 of the Acts of
1976 and Chapter 96 of the Acts of 1977)

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 10A-3 through 10A-12, and 10A-15 through 10A-24
Article 11 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1959 Edition, as amended by Chapter 113 of the Acts of
1976 and Chapter 96 of the Acts of 1977)
