HARRY HUGHES, Governor                                  1861

[shall have full power to] MAY remove any member of the
Board for incompetency or improper conduct upon satisfactory
PRESENTATION OF evidence [being presented] to him of [such]
THAT condition.

154.

The members of [said] THE board shall [respectively]
take and subscribe the oath required by other State
officers. They shall [have power to] elect out of their
number a President, Secretary and Treasurer, and [to] adopt
[such] WHATEVER rules and by—laws for the transaction of
business of the board [as] they [may] deem expedient.

155.

Each member of [said] THE board shall receive a
compensation of [five dollars ($5.00) ] $5 per day for actual
service in attending meetings of the board, [which] AND THIS
compensation shall be paid out of any moneys in the hands of
the Treasurer of [said] THE board. [; provided, that]
HOWEVER, the Secretary of [said] THE board may receive
[such] WHATEVER additional compensation [as] the board may
deem just and reasonable, and for which the by—laws of the
[said] board may provide. [; provided, however, that the]
THE compensation and expenses of [said] THE board [shall, in
no event , ] MAY NOT be paid out of the funds in the State
Treasury or become a charge against the State or Calvert
County.

156.

[Said] THE board shall meet at least once in each month
in Prince Frederick[, ] and shall hold special meetings as
frequently as the proper and efficient discharge of its
business shall require. [, and said] ALSO, THE board shall
adopt [such] rules and regulations for the examination of
Master Electricians [as herein defined,] and for the
[placing, installing and operating] PLACEMENT, INSTALLATION
AND OPERATION OF electrical wires, appliances, apparatus, or
construction in, upon and about buildings in Calvert County.
[, and when so] WHEN adopted, [such] THESE rules and
regulations shall have the same force and effect as if
[herein] contained IN THIS SUBTITLE, and the rules of [said]
THE board shall also provide for the giving of timely notice
of [such] ITS meetings to all those who [shall have] made
application for a license as [herein] provided IN THIS
SUBTITLE. The Board of Electrical Examiners and Supervisors
shall publish in each of two Calvert County newspapers a
schedule of all of the rules, regulations and fee changes,
as they may be promulgated, two times in each of two
successive weeks. [; and said] THE rules, regulations and
fees [shall not be finally] MAY NOT BE adopted FINALLY until
[there has been held] a public hearing IS HELD at the next
scheduled monthly meeting of [said] THE Board.
