(b) The County Commissioners [are authorized to] MAY
provide the necessary Financing for the office and
management of the affairs of the Committee for the
Development and Utilization of Human Resources. The [are
further authorized to] ALSO MAY provide funds for the
programs adopted by the [said] Committee. The dispensing of
funds—pursuant to appropriate legislation with State and
Federal agencies shall be arranged with the County
Commissioners of Calvert County.
(Note: The provisions of this Section are proposed for
repeal as obsolete.)
123B.
The County Commissioners of Calvert County shall
include in their budget for each fiscal year a provision for
funds to be used to furnish secretarial assistance to the
County delegation to the General Assembly of Maryland for
the term of the [session] REGULAR OF FOR ANY SPECIAL OR
EXTRAORDINARY SESSIONS [thereof and for any additional or
extraordinary sessions thereof]. The amount to be provided
for [such] THE secretarial assistanco [shall] MAY not exceed
[one thousand one hundred fifty dollars ($1,150.00)]—$1,150
for the regular session of the General Assembly, nor exceed
[Fifteen dollars (15.00)] $15 per day for each—day of
secretarial—assistance provided during any [additional]
SPECIAL or extraordinary session [thereof]. Upon the filing
of payment—vouchers with the County Commissioners by the
County Delegation, the County Commissioners shall
[forthwith] provide the funds required to honor [said] THE
vouchers, BUT MAY not [to] exceed the amounts set forth
[therein] IN THEM.
(Note: The provisions of Section 123B are invalid under
Article 40, Section 4A.)
124.
(a) The Treasurer shall be collector of all State and
county taxes for [whatsoever] WHATEVER purpose or purposes
levied or to be levied, for or within [said] THE county
during the term of his office. [and he shall have full
power, and it] HE shall [be his duty to] receive and collect
all State and county taxes levied [as aforesaid with] AND
SHALL HAVE full power to enforce [the] THEIR payment [of the
same] by sale or otherwise, and to convey title to any real
or personal estate sold by him. [; and when it shall be]
WHEN necessary [for him to proceed] to collect [the] taxes
[placed in his hands] by sales of real or personal property
he shall proceed as now directed for the collection of taxes
by collectors, and shall be allowed the same fee [therefor]
as now allowed collectors, except that a notice of unpaid
taxes by a constable or constables [as hereinafter
provided,] shall be deemed a sufficient notice prior to
making the levy. [It shall also be the duty of said] THE
