120.
The [said] clerk, before he enters upon the duties of
his office, shall give bond to the State of Maryland, to be
approved by the County Commissioners, in the penalty of [one
thousand dollars] $1,000, conditioned for the faithful
performance of the duties of his office.[,and the said] THE
bond shall be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Calvert County.
121.
The [said] clerk shall [also] take and subscribe before
one of [said] THE Commissioners the following oath: "I,
A.B., do swear that as Clerk to the County Commissioners for
Calvert County, I will honestly and faithfully, to the best
of my skill and judgment, execute the duties of the [said]
office, without favor, affection or prejudice."
122.
[He is authorized and empowered to] THE CLERK MAY
administer an oath or affirmation to any person presenting a
claim to [said] THE Commissioners against the county[, for
which service he]. HE [shall] MAY not [be entitled to] make
any charge[, the same being hereby made] FOR THIS SERVICE
SINCE IT IS a part of his official duty.
123.
The County Commissioners of Calvert County [are hereby
authorized and empowered to] MAY sell [such] WHATEVER part
of its water supply IT DOES not [needed] NEED for county
purposes to some person, firm or corporation on [such] terms
and conditions [as said] TO BE DETERMINED BY THE
Commissioners [shall determine]. The [said] Commissioners
may [also] grant ALSO a franchise or right to the purchaser
of [such] THE water supply to sell [same] IT to persons,
firms or corporations in Prince Frederick and to install
[such] WHATEVER pipes and distribution systems as may be
necessary for this purpose[, and], THE PURCHASER MAY
contract with [such] THOSE persons, firms or corporations
for the construction and maintenance of suitable mains and
hydrants for fire protection of public and other property in
Prince Frederick and [to] MAY defray a reasonable part of
the expense, [thereof] CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE.

(a) The State Senator of Calvert County shall appoint
a Committee for the Development and Utilization of Human
Resources, subject to approval of the County Commissioners,
to function and administer funds pursuant to the federal
Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 (Poverty Program).
