been made or granted, and that the land over which
jurisdiction is granted by this section, together with all
buildings and personal property which is or may be
hereafter, with the bounds thereof belonging to the United
States, shall be exempted, exonerated and discharged from
all State, county and municipal taxes so long as the said
lot or lots of ground shall remain the property of the
United States of America for the purpose aforesaid. ]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 19 79.

Court Costs - Appeals from District Court
FOR the purpose of amending the provisions for disposition
of court costs in certain appeals from the District
Court of Maryland.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings
Section 7-206(d)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings
7-206.
(d) If the appeal [is dismissed] in a criminal or
traffic case[, the judgment is affirmed, or there is a
conviction in the circuit court] IS DISPOSED OF OTHER THAN
BY ACQUITTAL, NOLLE PROSEQUI, OR STET, the CIRCUIT court
costs [paid pursuant to the Maryland Rules], INCLUDING THE
SUM PAYABLE UNDER MARYLAND RULE 1311.C.2, shall be disposed
of in the same manner as are costs of a criminal case heard
by the circuit court in the exercise of its original
jurisdiction, AND THE DISTRICT COURT COSTS SHALL BE RETURNED
TO THE DISTRICT COURT.
