AN ACT concerning
Allegany County — Lots in Cumberland
FOR the purpose of transferring to the Session Laws
repealing certain provisions in the Annotated Code of
Maryland relating to the purchase of lots in
Cumberland, Allegany County, by the federal government.
BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments, for the
purpose of transferring from the Code to the 1979
Session Laws

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 27 of Article 96 - United States, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, without amendments, for the purpose of
transferring it from the Annotated Code of Maryland to the
1979 Session Laws, section(s) of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted, to read as
follows:
Article 96 — United States
[ 27.
The consent of the State of Maryland is given to the
purchase by the Unites UNITED States of America of a lot or
lots of ground in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland, for
the purpose of erecting a public building thereon.
Jurisdiction over said lot or lots of ground, after the same
shall have been conveyed to the United States of America, is
ceded, released and relinquished to the United States of
America over the said lot or lots of ground; provided,
however, that all civil and such criminal process as may
issue under the authority of this State against any person
or persons charged with crimes and misdemeanors committed
without said lot or lots of ground may be executed thereon
in the same way and manner as though this cession had never
