Ch. 513

(a) The [Secretary of State] COMMISSION shall
[maintain] COMPUTE and make available a subtotal under each
of the nine required categories in § [10] 5-105 (a) (2) of
this [subtitle] TITLE for all registrants, and a subtotal
representing the combined total of § [10] 5-105(a)(2)
subparagraphs (vi), (vii), and (viii) for all registrants.
The [Secretary of State] COMMISSION [shall] also SHALL
[provide the figure representing] COMPOTE AND MAKE AVAILABLE
the total amount reported by all registrants for their
lobbying activities during the reporting period.

[(b) The Secretary of State shall maintain and make
available a subtotal under each of the three categories in §
13 of this subtitle for all executive branch lobbyists. The
Secretary shall also provide the figure representing the
total amount reported by all executive branch lobbyists for
all executive agency lobbying activities during a reporting
period-]

[(c)] (B) (1) [In the event that] IF any report filed
with the [Secretary of State] COMMISSION contains the name
of [an official] or member of [an official's] HIS immediate
family [either in the legislative or executive branch], as
required under [§§ 10] SECTION 5-105(a) (3) [and 13] of this
[article] TITLE, the [Secretary of State] COMMISSION shall
notify [such] THE official within 30 days. [Except as
provided in § 12(c)(2) of this article, the Secretary] THE
COMMISSION shall keep the report confidential for [30] 60
days following the receipt of it.

(2) Following notification of the inclusion of
[the] HIS name [of an official in the legislative or
executive branch] in [the] A report filed by a [lobbyist]
REGISTRANT [such] AN official shall have 30 days to file a
written exception to the inclusion of his [or her] name.

[13. Registration of executive branch lobbyists; reports to
Secretary of State.

(a) All executive branch lobbyists shall register with
the Secretary of State on or before January 10 of each year,
or not later than five days after first performing any act
requiring registration as an executive branch lobbyist under
this subtitle. Registration shall be on a form provided by
the Secretary containing the following information:

(1)   The registrant's name and permanent address;

(2)   The name and permanent address of each
person who is required to register under this section and
who will lobby on the registrant's behalf;

(3)   The name, address, and nature of business of
any person who compensates the registrant and the written
authorization required by § 7; and
