The Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County

Article 19 - Public Local Laws of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:
Article 19 - St. Mary's County
26-28.
The Board of County Commissioners shall appoint an
Airport Committee consisting of seven (7) members[, one (1)
of whom shall be a County Commissioner]. Two (2) of the
members shall serve for a period of one (1) year; two (2)
members shall serve for a period of two (2) year; two (2)
members shall service for a period of three (3) years and
thereafter appointed for three-year terms. The County
Commissioners shall name the Chairman. The County
Commissioners shall fill vacancies as terms expire for a
three-year term, and vacancies occurring from other causes
shall be filled for the unexpired term.

The Board of County Commissioners of St. Mary's County
shall, on or before July 1, 1972, appoint a Board which
shall be known as the "Board of Electrical Examiners,"
consisting of five [(5)] persons for the purpose of
examining into the qualifications and capabilities of all
persons who are engaged or desire to engage in the business
of master electrician as defined in this chapter. The
Board so appointed shall consist of two [(2)] competent
licensed master electricians of St. Mary's County, who shall
be selected from a list of four [(4)] names recommended to
the Board of County Commissioners by the St. Mary's County
Electrical Contractors' Association, [and a member of the
Board of County Commissioners] and [two (2)] THREE members
to be selected by the County Commissioners. The members of
the Board so appointed shall serve for a term to run
concurrently with the tenure of the County Commissioners.
If any vacancy occurs for any cause during the term of any
Board as herein provided for, the Board of County
Commissioners shall appoint somebody from a list of two
[(2)] names recommended by said Electrical Contractors'
Association to fill the unexpired term. The Board of County
Commissioners shall have full power to remove any member of
the Board for incompetency or improper conduct by
satisfactory evidence being presented to him of such
condition.
