BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Natural Resources
Section 4-804(c) and (e), and 4-806(a) and (b)
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article - Natural Resources
4-804.
(c) Every applicant FOR A COMMERCIAL CRABBER'S LICENSE
shall pay a license fee of $5 $10 and, in addition to this
sum, 25 cents to the issuing clerk of the court if
application is made to the clerk of the court. A commercial
crabber's license is valid for the year in which it is
issued.
(e) Any person catching crabs for commercial purposes,
OR FOR NONCOMMERCIAL PURPOSES USING A SPORTS CRABBER'S
LICENSE, shall exhibit his license upon the demand of any
natural resources police officer or any law enforcement
officer of the state.
(G) (1) ANY STATE RESIDENT DESIRING TO CATCH CRABS IN
THE WATERS OF THE STATE FOR NONCOMMERCIAL PURPOSES BY USING
A TROTLINE IN EXCESS OF 300 FEET FIRST SHALL OBTAIN A SPORTS
CRABBER LICENSE.
(2) A SPORTS CRABBER LICENSE MAY BE OBTAINED
ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF § 4-806 OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR
A FEE OF $5, IF APPLICATION IS MADE TO THE CLERK OF THE
COURT AND , IN ADDITION TO THIS SUM, 25 CENTS TO THE ISSUING
CLERK OF THE COURT. A SPORTS CRABBER'S LICENSE IS VALID FOR
THE YEAR IN WHICH IT IS ISSUED.
(3) ONLY ONE OCCUPANT ON A BOAT USED TO CATCH
CRABS FOR NONCOMMERCIAL PURPOSES SHALL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A
SPORTS CRABBER LICENSE. THE DAILY CATCH OF THE BOAT SHALL
BE LIMITED TO ONE BUSHEL 3 BUSHELS PER OCCUPANT LICENSEE.
4-806.
(a) A commercial crabber's OR A SPORTS CRABBER'S
license may be obtained from the Department or the clerk of
the circuit court for the county in which the person resides
or from the clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, if he
resides in Baltimore City.
(b) (1) Each applicant for a commercial crabbing OR A
SPORTS CRABBING license to catch crabs under this subtitle
shall complete an application form showing his full name.
