(III) THE SOLE PURPOSE OF THIS CHANGE AS
RELATING TO DORCHESTER COUNTY AND KENT COUNTY IS TO PERMIT
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO ENLARGE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE
EXISTING COMMISSION TO FIVE MEMBERS TO MORE EFFECTIVELY
CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE, AND NEITHER THESE
PROVISIONS OR THE ACTION OF THE GOVERNING BODY BODIES OF
DORCHESTER COUNTY AND KENT COUNTY IN APPOINTING TWO
ADDITIONAL MEMBERS PROVIDED FOR IN THIS PARAGRAPH SHALL BE
CONSTRUED TO ALTER, ABROGATE, CHANGE, OR AFFECT IN ANY WAY
ANY CONTRACT, AGREEMENT, OBLIGATION, COMMITMENT OR
UNDERTAKING TO WHICH THE COMMISSION IS NOW A PARTY, OR IN
WHICH THE COMMISSION IS PRESENTLY ENGAGED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1979.

FUR the purpose of specifically authorizing the State Board
of Dental Examiners to adopt rules and regulations
governing the administration of general anesthesia by a
licensed dentist.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 32 - Dentistry

20A.

The Board may adopt and promulgate, and from time to
time amend or modify, such rules or regulations as are
reasonably necessary to carry out and make effective the
provisions and purposes of this article, including rules and
regulations governing THE ADMINISTRATION OF GENERAL
