AN EMERGENCY BILL ENTITLED
AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Section 10-201(b) of Subtitle
10, titled "Finance end Taxation," of the Prince George's
County Code, 1975 Edition, for the purpose of increasing the
penalty on overdue County taxes from one-half (1/2) of one
percent (1%) to one percent (1%) of the amount of taxes
overdue and in arrears for each month or fraction thereof
until paid, pursuant to the provisions of Article 81,
Section 48 of the Maryland Annotated Code, as amended.

AN EMERGENCY BILL ENTITLED
AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Section 10-125 of Subtitle
10, titled "finance and Taxation", of the Prince George's
County Code, 1975 Edition, to increase the rate of interest
payable upon redemption of property sold at tax sale from
six percent (6%) per annum to twelve percent (12%) per
annum, pursuant to the provisions of Article 81, Sections 83
and 93 of the Maryland Annotated Code, as amended by Chapter
266 of the Laws of Maryland of 1977.

AN EMERGENCY BILL ENTITLED
AN EMERGENCY ACT to add a new Section 16-180.1 to
Subtitle 16, titled "Personnel", of the Prince George's
County Code, 1975 Edition, as adopted by CB-1-1976, to
provide that employees of the Sheriff of Prince George's
County who are afforded initial appointments in the Prince
George's County Department of Corrections may, by Executive
Order, be granted terms and conditions of employment as
though they were transferring to such positions from other
positions within the classified service of the County.
