AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Subtitle 6, "Permit and
Inspection Fees for Use of Sanitary Landfills", of
Title 14, "Licenses, Permits and Inspections", of the
Howard County Code, to provide for an annual
registration fee for the use of sanitary landfills by
Howard County Residents.

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments Sections
4.101, 4.102, 4.103(f) 4.105(g), 4.108, 4.109(b),
4.111(b), 4.111(c), 4.115 and 4.118 of the Howard
County Code, Title "Contracting and Purchasing,"
Subtitle "Purchasing," for the purpose of requiring
that the purchase of supplies or contractual services
for any county department or agency shall not be made
from firms or individuals who engage in certain
unlawful employment practices; to require the County
Purchasing Officer to remove the names of certain
bidders from the bidders list of Howard County and to
debar certain bidders from bidding for county business
for a certain period; TO ASSIGN CERTAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES CONCERNING PURCHASING TO THE OFFICE OF
HUMAN RIGHTS; to define certain terms used in this Act;
and relating generally to the purchase of supplies and
contractual services in Howard County, Maryland.

AN ACT to add new Subtitle 7, "Solicitors and Peddlers," to
Title 14 "Licenses, Permits and Inspections," of the
Howard County Code to provide for the issuance of
identification cards to solicitors and peddlers in
Howard County, Maryland; to provide for the fee and
term of identification cards; to provide for the
denial, revocation or suspension of identification
cards and a procedure to appeal such denial, revocation
or suspension; to provide for certain exceptions to the
provisions of this Act; stating certain hours for
soliciting and peddling in the County; to provide a
penalty for violations of this Act; setting out
definitions of certain words used in this Act; and
relating generally to the regulating of solicitors and
peddlers in Howard County, Maryland.
