Laws of Carroll County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.

A RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Sykesville adopted pursuant to the authority of Section 3
(Home Rule) of Article XI-E (Municipal Corporations) of the
Constitution of Maryland and of Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, titled "Corporations -
Municipal", subtitle "Home Rule" to amend the Charter of the
Town of Sykesville (being Sections 18-1 to 18—98 inclusive
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll County (1976
Edition) and being Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, by repealing and re—enacting, with
amendments, Section 18-68 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Carroll County (1976 Edition) to provide that Town
Council members may be appointed to serve as either a member
or chairman on more than one Town Council committee, and
otherwise re—enacting Section 18—68 which prohibits
conflicts of interest for town employees, the matter
hereinafter in CAPITALS indicating matter added to the
existing Section 18-68 of the Charter.

RESOLUTION OF ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, a Petition has been presented to the Mayor and
Council of the City of Taneytown, Carroll County, State of
Maryland, to enlarge the corporate boundaries of said Town
by the annexation of a certain hereinafter described parcel
of land contiguous to and adjoining the existing corporate
boundaries of said Town; and
WHEREAS, the Mayer and Council, pursuant to Article
23A, subsection 19(c) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957), have caused to be made a verification of the
signatures upon said Petition and ascertained that the
