MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF SNOW HILL
INITIATING
AMENDMENT TO PART OF CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF SNOW HILL,
CONTAINED IN SECTION 353 OF EVERSTINE'S CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF WORCESTER COUNTY, TITLE "SNOW HILL", SUB-TITLE
"MAYOR; DUTIES, SALARY.", AS AMENDED, TO PROVIDE FOR AN
INCREASE OF SALARY OF THE MAYOR.
WHEREAS, by virtue of the authority contained in
Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland as amplified
and implemented by the provisions of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland 1957 Edition, as amended. Mayor
and Council of Snow Hill, a municipal corporation of the
State of Maryland, is authorized and empowered to initiate
proposed amendments to the municipal charter of the Town of
Snow Hill by resolution passed in the usual course of
considering resolutions in the government of said municipal
corporation by a majority of all of the persons elected to
said Council; and
WHEREAS, it is desired by said Mayor and Council of
Snow Hill to amend Section 353 of Everstine's Code of Public
Local Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition), as amended,
being part of Article 24 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland and a part of the Charter of the Town of Snow Hill,
a municipal corporation of the State of Maryland, title
"Snow Hill", sub-title "Mayor; duties, salary." to provide
for an increase in the annual salary of the Mayor of said
Town commencing after the election of a Mayor and Councilman
of said Town to be held on the first Monday in May, 1978.

Worcester County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

A RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Sykesville adopted pursuant to the authority of Section 3
(Home Rule) of Article XI-E (Municipal Corporations) of the
Constitution of Maryland and of Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, titled "Corporations -
Municipal", subtitle "Home Rule" to amend the Charter of the
Town of Sykesville (being Sections 18—1 to 18-98 inclusive
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll County (1976
Edition) and being Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, by repealing and re-enacting, with
amendments, Sections 18-5, 18-12, 18-18, 18-20, 18-22(26),
18-22(44), 19-22(46), 18-25, 18-40, 18-52, 18-70, 18-89 and
