RESOLUTION
BY
MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF SNOW HILL
INITIATING:
AMENDMENT TO PART OF CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF SNOW HILL,
CONTAINED IN SECTION 351 OF EVERSTINE'S CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF WORCESTER COUNTY, AS AMENDED, TITLE "SNOW HILL",
SUB-TITLE "MAYOR AND COUNCIL; OATH OF OFFICE, SALARY OF
COUNCILMEN.". TO PROVIDE FOR INCREASE OF SALARY OF
COUNCILMEN.
WHEREAS, by virtue of the authority contained in
Article XI E of the Constitution of Maryland as amplified
and implemented by the provisions of Article 23 A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition, as amended, Mayor
and Council of Snow Hill, a municipal corporation of the
State of Maryland, is authorized and empowered to initiate
proposed amendments to the municipal charter of the Town of
Snow Hill by resolution passed in the usual course of
considering resolutions in the government of said municipal
corporation by a majority of all the persons elected to said
Council; and
WHEREAS, it is desired by said Mayor and Council of
Snow Hill to amend Section 351 of Everstine's Code of Public
Local Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition), being part of
Article 24 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland and a part
of the Charter of the Town of Snow Hill, a municipal
corporation of the State of Maryland, title "Snow Hill",
sub-title "Mayor and Council; oath of office, salary of
Councilmen", as amended, to provide for an increase in the
annual salary of Councilmen of said Town commencing after
the election of a Mayor and Councilman of said Town to be
held on the first Monday in May, 1978.

Worcester County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.
