RESOLUTION
OF THE
MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ROCK HALL
TO AMEND THE TOWN CHARTER
RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of The Town of Rock
Hall, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11—E of
the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23-A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Corporations—Municipal", to amend Section 405 of the Town
Charter (being also Section 405 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Kent County, 1959 Edition, said Code being Article
15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Kent
County", and said Section being under the subtitle "Rock
Hall"), so as to authorize and empower the Mayor and Council
of The Town of Rock Hall to issue and sell bonds and notes
in accordance with the authority of Sections 31 to 39,
inclusive, of said Article 23-A, except that the limitations
contained in Section 34 (4) of said Article 23-A shall not
apply, so that said bonds and notes may be issued and sold
at either public or private sale.
[Section 569 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent
County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

TO AMEND THE TOWN CHARTER
RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of The Town of Rock
Hall, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11-E of
the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23—A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Corporations-Municipal", to amend Section 420 of the Town
Charter (being also section 420 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Kent County, 1959 Edition, said Code being Article
15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Kent
County", end said Section being under the subtitle "Rock
Hall"), so as to provide that the town may exercise the
powers conferred by said Section with respect to all
sidewalks along public ways, whether located on public or
private property, and so as to make clear that the town may
finance the work authorized by said Section, in whole or in
part, by special assessment charges on abutting properties
as well as by requiring abutting property owners to do such
work entirely at their own expense.
