WHEREAS copies of the new Charter and the existing
Charter have been made available to the citizens of the Town
of Brentwood, and announcements have been made in newspapers
and at Town Council meetings concerning the proposed changes
and the public hearing held January 17, 1977 in Brentwood,
Maryland; and
WHEREAS there was no public objection to the adoption
of the Proposed Charter;

George's County, repealed and added.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation of land adjacent and
contiguous to the present southerly and easterly boundaries
of the City of Cambridge have been filed by certain
residents, registered voters and property owners pursuant to
Section 19, Article 23A, Annotated Code of Maryland, and
WHEREAS, the presiding officer of the Commissioners of
Cambridge has caused to be made a verification that the area
proposed to be annexed, pursuant to said petitions, is, in
fact, contiguous and adjacent to the existing corporate
area; and that the petitioners are the owners of at least
25% of the assessed valuation of the real property located
in the area to be annexed and constitute at least 25% of the
persons who reside in the area to be annexed and who are
registered as voters in the County elections.

Dorchester County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.
