term of any currently serving officer.        The

present reference to the member who replaced    the

State Superintendent of Schools is deleted      as
obsolete.

14-103. CHAIRMAN AND OTHER OFFICERS; MEETINGS.

(A)   CHAIRMAN.

EACH YEAR, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES SHALL ELECT FROM AMONG
ITS MEMBERS:

(1)   A CHAIRMAN; AND

(2)   ANY OTHER OFFICER IT REQUIRES.

(B)   MEETINGS.

THE BOARD SHALL DETERMINE THE TIME AND PLACE OF

MEETINGS AND MAY ADOPT RULES FOR THE CONDUCT OF ITS
MEETINGS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as Art.
77A, §12(b).

The last sentence of present Art. 77A, §12(b),
which provides for reimbursement of the members'
expenses, is deleted as redundant in light of the
identical provisions of §14—102(e) of this
subtitle.

The only other changes are in style.

14-104. STAFF OF BOARD.

(A)     EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - APPOINTMENT, TENURE,
COMPENSATION.

(1)    THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES SHALL APPOINT A
QUALIFIED PERSON AS ITS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SERVE AT THE
PLEASURE OF THE BOARD.

(2)   THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IS ENTITLED TO THE
COMPENSATION PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.

(B)   EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - DUTIES.

THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SHALL:

(1) BE THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER OF THE
BOARD;

(2) KEEP RECORDS OF ALL MEETINGS OF THE BOARD;
