REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as Art.
77A, §11(a).

In item (5) of this section, the present
reference to the University of Baltimore as "an
upper division academic institution" is deleted
as unnecessary in light of the similar provisions
of §14-201 of this title.

In item (6) of this section, the present
reference to "Towson State College" is changed to
"Towson State University". This reflects the

current status of that institution.

In item (7) of this section, "July 1, 1976", the
effective date of Ch. 917, Acts of 1976, is
substituted for the phrase "may be established".

Present Art. 77A, §11(a) (4), a transitory
provision which provides that no change in the
government of the institutions was to result from
enactment of Art. 77A, §11(a), is deleted as
unnecessary.

14-102. BOARD OF TRUSTEES - COMPOSITION, TERM, VACANCIES.

(A)       COMPOSITION.

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES CONSISTS OF 11 MEMBERS APPOINTED
BY THE GOVERNOR.

(B)       QUALIFICATIONS.

(1)   EACH MEMBER SHALL BE A RESIDENT OF THIS
STATE.

(2)    ONE OF THE MEMBERS SHALL BE A FULL-TIME
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT IN GOOD ACADEMIC STANDING AT AN
INSTITUTION UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE BOARD, WHO:

(I)   IS AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD; AND

(II)    HAS THE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO BE
PRESIDENT OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT AT THAT INSTITUTION.

(3)   EXCEPT FOR THE STUDENT MEMBER, EACH MEMBER
