(1) THE BOARD OF REGENTS MAY REVIEW OR ADOPT
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES OF THE UNIVERSITY WITH RESPECT TO:

(I)   ACCREDITATION;

(II)   PROGRAMS AND FUNCTIONS;

(III)   ACTUAL AND POTENTIAL CAPABILITIES;

(IV)   ADMISSIONS;

(V)   CURRICULA;

(VI)   GRADUATION;

(VII)   THE AWARDING OF DEGREES; AND

(VIII)   GENERAL POLICY MAKING.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 77A, §74(c)(3), (4), and (13).

The only changes are in style.

(D)   BUDGET.

THE BOARD OF REGENTS MAY PREPARE AND SUBMIT ANNUAL
BUDGETS AND SPEND FUNDS BUDGETED FOR NONSALARY ITEMS ON
APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 77A, §74(c) (5) and (6).

The present authorization for spending "...
budgeted funds for nonsalary items on appropriate
activities" is revised to permit spending "...
funds budgeted for nonsalary items ..." on these
activities. The present provision makes no
sense.

The only other changes are in style.

(E)   CONTRACTS.

SUBJECT TO ANY APPLICABLE STATE LAW, RULE, OR

REGULATION, THE BOARD OF REGENTS MAY CONTRACT WITH ANY
PERSON TO RECEIVE OR PROVIDE SERVICES, RESEARCH, TRAINING,
OR DEMONSTRATIONS.
