FOR the purpose of correcting an error in a cross—reference
in the law defining total real property taxes for
purposes of determining property tax credits for
homeowners.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1178.

This bill corrects a cross—reference in a provision
that defines total real property taxes for determination of
property tax credits.

This bill is a duplicate measure to Senate Bill 738,
which I have also vetoed today.

For the same reasons set forth in the veto message
accompanying Senate Bill 738, I have decided to veto House
Bill 1178.

House Bill No. 1202 - Pensions — Supplemental Allowance

AN ACT concerning

Pensions — Supplemental Allowance

FOR the purpose of providing that members of the Employees',
Teachers', and State Police Retirement Systems who
retired on or after a certain date with a certain
number of years of service, are eligible to receive a
supplemental retirement allowance under certain
conditions and in a certain amount.
