The fourth paragraph of present Art. 77A, §15 (c) ,
which provides that property owned by two
corporations on July 1, 1920 devolved on the
successor (the two institutions presumably were
the University of Maryland and the Maryland State
College of Agriculture) is deleted as obsolete,
since the devolution has taken place.
(D) STUDENTS.

THE BOARD MAY PROVIDE FOR THE DISCIPLINE, SUSPENSION,
EXPULSION, OR REINSTATEMENT OF ANY STUDENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
from the first paragraph of Art. 77A, §15(c).

All references to the governance of the Maryland
State College of Agriculture are deleted as
obsolete or repetitive of subsection (c) of this
section.

(E)   POWER TO ACCEPT GIFTS.

THE BOARD MAY APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT ANY GIFT OR GRANT
FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OR ANY OTHER PERSON.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 41, §202.

The present reference to "individual ... or ...
corporation" is deleted as unnecessary in light
of the definition of "person" in §1—101 of this
article. The present reference to "donation ...
devise" is deleted as unnecessary in light of
Art. 1, §22 of the Code.

(F)    BRANCHES AND AUTHORITY OF PURCHASING BUREAU OVER
THEM.

(1) THE BOARD MAY CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN, EQUIP,
REPAIR, AND OPERATE BRANCHES OF THE UNIVERSITY IN:

(i)   BALTIMORE COUNTY;
(II) BALTIMORE CITY;

(III)   CENTRAL EASTERN SHORE;

(IV)   CENTRAL WESTERN MARYLAND; AND

(V)   SOUTHERN MARYLAND.

(2)     HOWEVER, ALL PURCHASES MADE BY THESE
FACILITIES ARE SUBJECT TO THE AUTHORITY OF THE CENTRAL

PURCHASING BUREAU, UNDER ARTICLE 15A, §28 THROUGH 33 OF

THE CODE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES.
