AN ACT concerning

Governor - Appropriations in Budget Bill

FOR the purpose of specifying the manner of appropriating in
the State budget hill certain expenditures relating to
the maintenance and operation of the official residence
of the Governor, Government House; providing for the
manner of disbursing and accounting for these
expenditures of the Governor and Government House;
relating to appropriations and expenditures for the
Governor and Government House; and providing for an
effective date.

Dear Mr- President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 601.

This bill specifies the manner in which the
appropriations for maintenance and operation of Government
House shall be made.

I have today vetoed House Bill 1007, which     is a

duplicate measure. For the same reasons given in the     veto

message accompanying House Bill 1007, I have decided to   veto
Senate Bill 601.

Crimes and Punishments — Obscene Matter

FOR the purpose of repealing language which provides that
certain provisions of the criminal code pertaining to
obscene matter do not apply to certain persons; making
a technical change to the style of expression of a
