WHEREAS, Health care financing represents a major
concern to all; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the
Governor appoint a study commission to serve without pay for
one year, to seek ways of assuring continued quality
physician health care at affordable cost to all. The
Commission shall report its recommendations to the Governor
and the General Assembly within one year. The commission
shall be composed of one member of the Maryland Senate, one
member of the Maryland House of Delegates, a representative
of the Executive Department, the Executive Director of the
Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission, the
Maryland State Insurance Commissioner, a representative of
the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Maryland
Medical-Chirurgical Society, the Maryland State Chamber of
Commerce, the AFL—CIO, the Maryland Hospital Association,
the Blue Cross of Maryland, Inc., the Blue Shield of
Maryland, Inc., the Maryland Insurance Association, the
Professional Standards Review Organization of Maryland, the
Executive Director of the Comprehensive Health Planning
Agency, the Maryland Foundation for Health Care, the Health
Facilities of Maryland, Independent Practitioners
Associates, Maryland Society of Pathologists, Maryland
Radiology Society, Maryland Society of Cardiologists, the
Medical Service of the District of Columbia, and Financial
Officer from an Investor—owned Hospital; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the
Governor of Maryland.

A House Joint Resolution concerning
Citizens' Advisory Committee On Fishing, Clamming,
And Oystering
FOR the purpose of requesting the Department of Natural
Resources to form a committee comprised of several
members of the Fisheries Administration and several
members of local communities who are actively involved
in commercial fishing, clamming, and oystering, to
discuss the problems arising from the freezing of small
creeks and waterways of the State.
WHEREAS, The residents of Maryland derive a great
