BY adding to Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments Section 417(5) and (6) and 419A Annotated Code of Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement) BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments Section 424 Annotated Code of Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 417. Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments As used in this subtitle, (5) YEARS OF AGE. "MINOR" MEANS ANY NATURAL PERSON UNDER 18 (6) "OBSCENE MATTER" MEANS ANY MATTER WHICH TAKEN AS A WHOLE TO THE AVERAGE PERSON, APPLYING CONTEMPORARY STATEWIDE COMMUNITY STANDARDS, APPEALS TO PRURIENT INTEREST, AND IS MATTER WHICH, TAKEN AS A WHOLE, DEPICTS OR DESCRIBES IN A PATENTLY OFFENSIVE WAY SEXUAL CONDUCT AND WHICH, TAKEN AS A WHOLE, LACKS SERIOUS LITERARY, 419A. (A) A PERSON MAY NOT EMPLOY OR USE ANY MINOR FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENGAGING IN SEXUAL INTERCOURSE, MASTURBATION,
