(E)    "LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST" MEANS AN
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST WHO IS LICENSED BY THE BOARD UNDER
THIS SUBTITLE TO PRACTICE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.

(F)    "LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT" MEANS
AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT WHO IS LICENSED BY THE

BOARD UNDER THIS SUBTITLE TO ASSIST IN THE PRACTICE OF

PROVIDE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TREATMENT UNDER THE

SUPERVISION OF, OR IN CONSULTATION WITH, AN OCCUPATIONAL

THERAPIST.

(G)    "PRACTICE OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY" MEANS TO
EVALUATE, TREAT, AND CONSULT REGARDING PROBLEMS INTERFERING
WITH FUNCTIONAL AND OCCUPATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN PERSONS
IMPAIRED BY PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, OR DEVELOPMENTAL
DISABILITY. IT INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO THE DESIGN,
FABRICATION, AND USE OF SPLINTS AND ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT;

THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES AND EXERCISE; DEVELOPMENTAL,

PERCEPTUAL-MOTOR AND SENSORY INTEGRATIVE ACTIVITIES;
ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING; PREVOCATIONAL EVALUATION AND
TRAINING; AND CONSULTATION CONCERNING THE ADAPTATION OF
ENVIRONMENTS FOR THE HANDICAPPED; AND PERFORMING AND
INTERPRETING MANUAL MUSCLE AND RANGE OF MOTION TESTS.

(H) "OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL,

LICENSEE UNDER THIS SUBTITLE, WHO PRACTICES OCCUPATIONAL

THERAPY.

(I) "OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT" MEANS AN

INDIVIDUAL, LICENSED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE, WHO ASSISTS IN

THE PRACTICE OF PROVIDES OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TREATMENT

UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF, OR IN CONSULTATION WITH, AN

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST.

(J) "OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AIDE" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL

WHO ASSISTS IN THE PRACTICE OF PROVIDING OCCUPATIONAL

THERAPY TREATMENT UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF AN
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST OR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT,
AND WHOSE ACTIVITIES REQUIRE AN UNDERSTANDING OF
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY BUT DO NOT REQUIRE PROFESSIONAL OR
ADVANCED TRAINING IN THE BASIC ANATOMICAL, BIOLOGICAL,
PSYCHOLOGICAL, AND SOCIAL SCIENCES INVOLVED IN THE PRACTICE
OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.

912. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT AFFECT THE PRACTICE, SERVICES OR

ACTIVITIES OF:

(1) PHYSICIANS, (A) THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT

AFFECT THE PRACTICE, SERVICES, OR ACTIVITIES OF PHYSICIANS,

NURSES, PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, OSTEOPATHIC PHYSICIANS,
AUDIOLOGISTS AND SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS, OPTOMETRISTS,
CHIROPRACTORS, PODIATRISTS, SOCIAL WORKERS, DENTISTS, OR
PSYCHOLOGISTS WHILE PRACTICING WITHIN THE STANDARDS AND

ETHICS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE PROFESSIONS SCOPE OF THEIR

RESPECTIVE LICENSURE, ACTS IF THEY DO NOT HOLD THEMSELVES

OUT BY ANY TITLE OR DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES AS BEING ENGAGED
