AN ACT concerning

Occupational Therapy Practice

FOR the purpose of establishing a Board of Occupational
Therapy Practice in the Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene; unless excepted, requiring licensure by the
Board to practice occupational therapy in the State;
establishing the procedures and qualifications for
obtaining, maintaining, and renewing a license;
establishing civil and criminal penalties for violation
of this subtitle; and generally relating to the
practice of occupational therapy.

Article 43 - Health

Section 911 through 935, inclusive, to be under

the new subtitle "Maryland Occupational Therapy

Practice Act"

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

MARYLAND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PRACTICE ACT

911. DEFINITIONS.

(A) IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED.

(E) "ASSOCIATION" MEANS THE MARYLAND OCCUPATIONAL
THERAPY ASSOCIATION.

(C)    "BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF OCCUPATIONAL
THERAPY PRACTICE.

(D)    "LICENSE" MEANS A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD
UNDER THIS SUBTITLE TO PRACTICE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.
