PROGRAMS PREPARING PERSONS FOR LICENSURE UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE;

(III)  PROVIDE FOR SURVEYS OF THOSE PROGRAMS
AT WHATEVER TIMES IT CONSIDERS NECESSARY;

(IV)   MAINTAIN A CURRENT LIST OF SCHOOLS OR
INSTITUTIONS WHOSE PROGRAMS MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS
SUBTITLE AND OF THE BOARD;

(V)    EXAMINE, LICENSE, AND RENEW THE
LICENSES OF QUALIFIED APPLICANTS;

(VI)   CONDUCT HEARINGS UPON CHARGES CALLING
FOR DISCIPLINE OF A LICENSEE, PENALTY, DENIAL, REVOCATION,
OR SUSPENSION OF A LICENSE;

(VII)  CAUSE THE PROSECUTION OF ALL PERSONS
VIOLATING THIS SUBTITLE AND HAVE THE POWER TO INCUR
NECESSARY EXPENSES RELATING TO THE PROSECUTION;

(VIII)  ADOPT AND FROM TIME TO TIME, REVISE
RULES AND REGULATIONS NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THE LAW, AS ARE
NECESSARY TO ENABLE IT TO CARRY INTO EFFECT THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS SUBTITLE;

(IX)   SET AND REVISE, AS NECESSARY, THE
AMOUNTS AND TYPES OF REGISTRATION FEES, FEES FOR RENEWAL OF
LICENSES AND EXAMINATION FEES. FEES SHALL HAVE A REASONABLE
RELATIONSHIP TO THE COSTS OF ADMINISTERING THIS SUBTITLE;

(X)    KEEP RECORDS OF ALL ITS PROCEEDINGS;

(XI) MAKE AN ANNUAL REPORT TO THE GOVERNOR
AND TO THE SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE; AND

(XII) EVALUATE ALL AREAS CONCERNING THE
PRACTICE OF ELECTROLOGY IN THIS STATE, INCLUDING
UNSCRUPULOUS PRINCIPLES AND FRAUDULENT ACTS.

(2)    EACH MEMBER OF THE BOARD SHALL RECEIVE
COMPENSATION AS PROVIDED BY THE BUDGET.

(3)    THE BOARD SHALL MEET AT LEAST FOUR TIMES
ANNUALLY AND SHALL ELECT FROM ITS MEMBERSHIP A PRESIDENT, A
SECRETARY, AND A TREASURER. THE SECRETARY SHALL KEEP A
RECORD OF ALL ITS MEETINGS. THE TREASURER SHALL KEEP A
REGISTER OF THE NAMES OF ELECTROLOGISTS AND INSTRUCTOR
ELECTROLOGISTS LICENSED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE WHICH SHALL BE
OPEN TO PUBLIC INSPECTION WITH ADEQUATE RESTRICTIONS FOR ITS
SAFE KEEPING. ALL MONEY COLLECTED BY THE BOARD SHALL BE
PAID OVER TO THE STATE TREASURER AND SHALL BECOME GENERAL
FUNDS OF THE STATE.

(E) (1) TO QUALIFY AS A REGISTERED ELECTROLOGIST, A
PERSON SHALL:

(I) BE 18 YEARS OF AGE;
