General Construction Loans - Failure to Commence Project

FOR the purpose of altering the required time period in
which a project funded by a State bond issue must be
commenced before the authorization for that bond issue
is terminated automatically, with a certain exception;
and clarifying language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 78A - Public Works

Section 4

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 78A - Public Works

4.

[Such] EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE STIPULATED IN THE BOND
AUTHORIZATION BILL, THIS authorization shall be
[automatically] terminated AUTOMATICALLY if actual work on
the particular project for which a State bond issue has been
authorized by the General Assembly is not commenced HAS NOT

BEEN CONTRACTED FOR OR__ALLOCATION MADE BY THE BOARD OF

PUBLIC WORKS within [five (5) ] TWO years from the date of

authorization.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

provisional driver's license to persons under 18 years
of age; imposing certain restrictions on persons

providing for the modification and waiver of

restrictions under certain circumstances; prescribing a
minimum age for the issuance of a learner's permit;
providing that issuance of a regular driver's license
