AN ACT concerning

Social Workers

FOR the purpose of clarifying the requirement that,__for a

certain period of time, the Board of Social Work
Examiners set certain academic equivalency standards;
establishing that individuals with a certain number of
years of work experience in social work practice be
exempt from academic requirements; clarifyinq a
provision for certain work experience required before
the Board licenses a social worker; and generally
relating to the Board of Social Work Examiners and the
practice of social work.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

(d) For NOTWITHSTANDING ANY RULES OR REGULATIONS OF
THE BOARD TO THE CONTRARY, UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 1978 FOR any
