AN ACT concerning

Comptroller - Annual Report

FOR the purpose of requiring certain items, concerning funds
transferred by the State to political subdivisions, to
be included in the Comptroller's annual report.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 19 - Comptroller

Section 9

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 19 - Comptroller

9.

(A)    He shall within ten days after the third Monday
in January make to the legislature and to the Governor an
annual report of the fiscal operations of the State for the
fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of June preceding,
showing therein the funds and revenues of the State,
specifying the amounts received from each source of revenue,
and further showing therein the public expenditures of the
State, the purposes for which such expenditures were made
and showing amounts claimed to be due to the State by any
political subdivision or by any public officer of a
political subdivision charged by law with the collection of
revenues for the account of the State. Such annual report
shall also set forth an estimate of the revenues and
expenditures for the current fiscal year.

(B)         THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE COMPTROLLER SHALL ALSO
INCLUDE:

(1)          A CERTIFICATION STATEMENT OF THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF FUNDS TRANSFERRED BY THE STATE TO EACH POLITICAL
SUBDIVISION FROM ALL STATE SOURCES; AND

(2)          A CERTIFICATION STATEMENT OF THE AMOUNT OF
FUNDS TRANSFERRED TO EACH POLITICAL SUBDIVISION BY THE STATE

FROM PROPERTY TAX REVENUES EXPRESSED IN TERMS OF AMOUNT PER

$100 OF ASSESSED VALUE OF PROPERTY IN THAT POLITICAL
