(Board of License Commissioners' Salaries)
FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the members of
the Board of License Commissioners for Calvert County,
the clerk to the board, and the attorney to the board;
and specifying that the salary alterations do not
affect the incumbent members of the board.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
Section 155(f)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
155.
(f) In Calvert County each of the members of the
board shall receive an annual salary of [$1,200] $1,500. In
addition to the annual salary of [$1,200] $1,500 received as
a member of the board, the chairman of the board shall
receive an additional annual sum of $300. The clerk to the
board shall receive annual compensation of [$1,000] $1,300
and the attorney to the board shall receive annual
compensation of [$1,000] $1,300. Members of the board as
well as the clerk and tie attorney shall not receive any
extra compensation for expenses.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
members of the Board of License Commissioners in office on
the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this
Act concerning the salary of the members of the Board of
License Commissioners shall take effect at the beginning of
tie next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
