EXAMINATION REQUIRED BY THIS SUBTITLE UNTIL THE APPLICANT
HAS PAID A NONREFUNDABLE EXAMINATION FEE OF $10.

[(a)] (B) No license may be issued or become
effective until the applicant pays the fee therefor as

follows:

(1)      Contractor's license, for each business
location, for each year or part thereof, including the fee
for one salesman's license....................$£ 35. 00 ]150 75

(2)    Salesman's license, for each year or part
thereof........................................$[15.00]15

(3)         SUBCONTRACTOR'S LICENSE, FOR EACH YEAR OR
PART THEREOF............................................$35

[(3)](4)          Fifteen dollars of these fees are not

refundable to cover the cost of processing the applicant's
eligibility.

[(b)] (C)          Fees shall be collected as follows:

(1)    For a certificate of the Commission under
seal............................................. $[1.00]1

(2)      For copies of documents on file in the
Commission office, per page.........................$[1.00]1

255.

(a) Except when otherwise specifically exempted by
the provisions of this subtitle, no person shall act in the
capacity of a contractor, SUBCONTRACTOR, or salesman unless
authorized to do so by a subsisting license for each such
capacity issued in accordance with the provisions of this
subtitle.

256.

No contractor's, SUBCONTRACTOR'S,    or salesman's license

shall be required of any person      when acting in the

particular capacity or particular type      of transaction set
forth in this section:

(1)      An individual who performs labor or services
for a contractor, OR SUBCONTRACTOR, for wages or salary and
who does not act in the capacity of salesman for the
contractor.

(2)         A plumber, electrician, architect or any
other such person who is required by State or local law to
attain standards of competency or experience as a
prerequisite to engaging in such craft or profession, and
who is acting exclusively within the scope of the craft or
profession for which he is currently licensed pursuant to
such other law.          The installation of central heating or
air-conditioning systems by such a person shall be deemed
