Section 4-302(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

4-302.

(c) The jurisdiction of the District Court is
concurrent with that of the circuit court in a criminal
case:

(1)         [in] IN which the penalty may be
confinement for three years or more or a fine of $2,500 or
more; OR

(2)         WHICH IS A FELONY, REFERRED TO IN SECTION
4-301(B).

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

University of Maryland — Housing Facilities

FOR the purpose of enabling the University of Maryland to
alter, equip and maintain certain homes for student
apartments and for these purposes, to borrow certain
money, to allow a certain agency custody of the housing
facility for certain purposes in the event of default
by the University until a certain time, to evidence tax
the loan, to issue evidence of the loan, to establish
certain accounts for certain revenue, to set certain
charges, to acquire property, to enter into certain
contracts and agreements, employ certain services, set
certain compensation, all subject to certain
restrictions, to accept certain grants and
