(2)        Five shall be appointed by the Governor
[under §16-201 of this title] for terms of 5 years; and

(3)   Two shall be appointed by the Harford County
Board of Education from among its members for terms of 1
year.

(a) The Board of Community College Trustees for
Montgomery County consists of eight members appointed by the
Governor [under §16-201 of this title] from nominees
submitted by the nominating committee. EXCEPT FOR THE

STUDENT MEMBER, THE MEMBERS ARE APPOINTED WITH THE ADVICE

AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE.

(b) (1) Seven of the members shall be appointed by
the Governor [under §16-201 of this title], WITH THE ADVICE
AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE.

(2) One of the members shall be a regularly
enrolled student in good standing at Prince George's

Community College. The student member shall:

(i) Be a resident of Prince George's
County;

(ii) Be elected by the student body of the
community college in the same manner as other student
government officers are elected; and

(iii) Serve for a term of 1 year beginning

July 1 and ending June 30 and if a vacancy occurs during
this period, a special election shall be held to elect a
successor for the remainder of that term.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
