issuance of a license authorized by this section for a
period of one year.

(e)  This section may not be construed to authorize slot
machines or any type of coin machines to be used for
gambling purposes.

(f)  The constables, bailiffs, municipal police officers
and all other prosecuting and peace officers of Harford
County are charged strictly with the enforcement of this

section.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

Community College Boards of Trustees — Corrective

FOR the purpose of clarifying that the appointments of
members of certain Community College Boards of Trustees
are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1978) be repealed, amended, or enacted to read
as follows:

Article — Education

16-501.

(a) The Board of Community College Trustees for Anne
Arundel County consists of eight members appointed by the
Governor [under §16-201 of this title], WITH THE ADVICE AND

CONSENT OF THE SENATE.
