11-171.

"Truck" means a motor vehicle, EXCEPT A MULTIPURPOSE
PASSENGER VEHICLE, that is designed, used, or maintained
primarily to carry property. HOWEVER, A VAN USED TO CARRY
PROPERTY EXCLUSIVELY FOR NONCOMMERCIAL PURPOSES MAY NOT BE

CONSIDERED A TRUCK.

13-912.

(a) When registered with the Administration, every

passenger car [and], station wagon, AND VAN, INCLUDING THOSE

USED TO CARRY PROPERTY FOR NONCOMMERCIAL

PURPOSES, except as otherwise provided in this part, is a

Class A (passenger) vehicle.

13-412.

(b) Class A (passenger) [and], Class D (motorcycle)

AND CLASS M (MULTIPURPOSE) registrations and registration

plates expire on March 31 of each succeeding year.

13-937.

(A) WHEN REGISTERED WITH THE ADMINISTRATION, EVERY
MULTIPURPOSE PASSENGER VEHICLE IS A CLASS M (MULTIPURPOSE)
VEHICLE.

(B) FOR EACH CLASS M (MULTIPURPOSE) VEHICLE, THE

ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE IS $30.:

(1) FOR A VEHICLE WITH A MANUFACTURER'S

SHIPPING WEIGHT OF 3,700 POUNDS OR LESS - $20; AND

(2) FOR A VEHICLE WITH A MANUFACTURER'S

SHIPPING WEIGHT OF MORE THAN 3,700 POUNDS - $30.

(C) THE ADMINISTRATION MAY BY RULE AND REGULATION,

PROVIDE__FOR THE REGISTRATION UNDER THIS SECTION OF ALL

MULTIPURPOSE PASSENGER VEHICLES REGISTERED UNDER ANOTHER

CATEGORY.

23-101.

(h) (1) "Vehicle" means, except as otherwise

provided in this subsection, any vehicle registered or to be
registered in this State as:

(i) A Class A (passenger) vehicle;

(II) A CLASS M (MULTIPURPOSE) VEHICLE;

[(ii)] (III) A Class J (van pool) vehicle;

[(iii)] (IV) A Class E (truck) vehicle, if
it has a 3/4 ton or less manufacturer's rated capacity; or
