[In such event] PRIOR TO ANY REMOVAL UNDER THIS SUBSECTION,
a public hearing shall be held thereon, IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY
BY THE BODY INITIATING THE REMOVAL PROCEEDING, AND IN PRINCE
GEORGE'S COUNTY BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL, unless A HEARING IS
waived in writing by the [commission member] COMMISSIONER
sought to he removed. At such hearing an opportunity shall
be given to the [commission member in question] COMMISSIONER
to present a defense in his or her own behalf. The
provisions of this subsection shall not apply to any member
of the commission in office on June 1, 1975 for the members
current term of office.

(C-1) (D) Any vacancy occurring in the membership of
the commission for any reason shall be filled as provided in
this section for the unexpired portion of the term.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Dentistry — Inactive Licenses

FOR the purpose of revising provisions relating to the
issuance of an inactive license to a dentist; providing
for issuance of an inactive license to a dental
hygienist; authorizing the Board to establish fees for
inactive licenses; and establishing requirements and
conditions for reissuance of licenses to dentists and
dental hygienists holding inactive licenses.
