SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 1-1 (d) through (g), respectively,
of the Code of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District and
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland be renumbered to
be Section(s) 1 — 1 (e) through (f), respectively.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Code of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District and
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland be repealed,
amended, or enacted to read as follows:
The Code of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District
1-1. (86-1-1 and 1-1)
(c) In Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, the
county executive may, with the approval of [the] A majority
of the members of the county council of his county, remove
any [member of the commission] COMMISSIONER appointed from
his county prior to the completion of the commissioner's
term. In addition, a majority of the members of the
Montgomery County Council, by resolution, may, unless the
Montgomery County Executive disapproves THE RESOLUTION IN
WRITING within 30 days OF ITS ADOPTION, remove any [member
of the commission] COMMISSIONER appointed from Montgomery
County prior to the completion of the commissioner's term.
