SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter _____ of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1978) be repealed, amended, or enacted to read
as follows:

Article - Education

17-106.

Subject to the initial approval of the Secretary of
General Services, an institution that qualifies for aid
under this subtitle may make any purchase [of more than
$500] through the Department of General Services in
accordance with the rules and regulations of that
Department.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
