ANY PHYSICIAN, SURGEON, DENTIST, OSTEOPATH, PODIATRIST,
OPTOMETRIST, CHIROPRACTOR, OR NURSE, OR ANY PERSON EMPLOYED
BY OR UNDER CONTRACT WITH ANY HOSPITAL, NURSING INSTITUTION,
OR OTHER HEALTH CARE PROVIDER WHO KNOWINGLY OR WILFULLY
DESTROYS, DAMAGES, ALTERS, OBLITERATES, OR OTHERWISE

OBSCURES A PATIENT'S MEDICAL RECORD, HOSPITAL REPORT,
LABORATORY REPORT, X-RAY REPORT, OR ANY OTHER DATA OR
INFORMATION IN AN EFFORT TO CONCEAL AN ACT OR AN OMISSION OF
AN ACT THAT CONSTITUTES-MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE SUCH MEDICAL DATA

OR INFORMATION AS EVIDENCE IN AN ADMINISTRATIVE,___CIVIL, OR

CRIMINAL PROCEEDING IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND, UPON
CONVICTION, IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $5,000 OR
IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING ONE YEAR, OR BOTH.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act

does not apply to medical data or information which has been

reduced to microfilm, or other means of accurate

reproduction. However, the microfilm shall be maintained

and stored in accordance with this Act.

SECTION 3 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

CHAPTER 356

(House Bill 863)

AN ACT concerning

Property Line Surveyors

FOR the purpose of permitting certain persons applying to be
licensed as property line surveyors by altering the

number of years of experience of certain property line

surveying to substitute certain educational credentials
in lieu of apportion of the experience requirements for

property line surveyors; and repealing Chapter 652 of

the 1977 Laws of Maryland which enacted__conflicting

provisions___with Section 335(d) of Article 56 of the

Annotated__Code of Maryland with respect to the

licensure of property line surveyors.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
